One of the first steps I worked on was laying out the grid into six boxes and then started to work on my first step. The idea concept for each box that I was going for was to draw a character so I chose a paint can and put a face and later on I put arms and hands to make it more expressive and as well with some different facial expressions. Additionally, I drew the spray can spraying a cloud and on top of that cloud, I put text over it for each step. The word I decided to choose was "style". As you can see, I sketched the word out first then outlined it in black. Then I added color, shading, and patterns. Later on, in my final design, I added the front and back cover. The front and back covers have a brick illustration for the background and the spray can introduces the title for the front cover and the back cover is just a brick wall with a spray-painted crown dripping.
